Obesity in dogs is an epidemic which can be easily avoided. It is easy for your pet to put weight on, but typically much hard to take the weight back off. Our staff have been educated to ensure that the proper diet is chosen for your pet, based on their specific needs. We also offer a number of different programs to help manage your pet’s weight.

What are some long-term effects of obesity on your dog?

Our veterinarians have observed that extra pounds lead to serious health consequences for your dog, if not managed in a timely fashion. Diabetes, joint pain, some forms of cancer and the overall poor quality of life for your dog all may be negatively impacted by extra weight.

What is the Pudgy Pet Program?

Clappison’s Pudgy Pet Program is a monitored weight loss program, designed to support you and your pet on their weight loss journey. Scheduled weigh-ins, support counselling and nutritional advice with our veterinary technicians help you stay on track with your pet’s weight success. This is a complimentary service provided by our vet technicians.
