Dr. Meagan Barrett grew up in Oshawa in a large family of six children. From a very young age, Meagan was passionate about working with animals and knew she wanted to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
She completed both her Bachelor of Science and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Guelph. After graduating in 2015, she practiced at a mixed animal hospital in Ripley. There she was able to work with a variety of species including cats, dogs, cows, and horses but her true passion always remained with companion animal medicine.
In December of 2015, she joined the team at Clappison Animal Hospital Team. Her special interests include preventative medicine, internal medicine and neurology. In her spare time she enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including running, soccer, and hiking. When not scheduled at work, Meagan enjoys spending her time with her fur babies, 2 dogs, Lexie and Oliver. She looks forward to meeting and working with you and your pets!
